Wilmington, NC (July 11, 2020) – Police in Wilmington are searching for a suspect following a deadly hit-and-run accident in the city on Friday night. The crash took place around 11:00 p.m. on S. Kerr Avenue near the intersection with Emerson Avenue.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, 30-year-old Jordan Flanagan was walking on S. Kerr when he was hit by an SUV. When rescue workers arrived, they found Flanagan suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he later died.
Police are searching for a small, dark-colored SUV in connection with the crash.
