Rockingham County, NC – Donald Farrar Killed in US 29 Bicycle Accident

Rockingham County, NC (July 13, 2020) – A man from Greensboro was killed in a bicycle crash on US 29 over the weekend. The incident took place on Sunday around 10:15 a.m. near the intersection with Cornelius Road.

According to reports, 64-year-old Donald Lee Farrar was riding his bicycle across the highway when he was hit was by a 2014 BMW passenger car that was traveling southbound on US 29. Medical personnel rushed Farrar to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The State Highway Patrol is investigating. There is no word on whether charges are expected.
