Zebulon, NC (June 20, 2020) – A person was taken to the hospital following a bicycle accident in Zebulon on Thursday. The crash occurred on West Gannon Avenue around 10:30 p.m.
The Zebulon Fire Department along with local police authorities responded to the scene shortly after the crash occurred. According to Fire Chief Chris Perry, the bicyclist was struck near Pineview Drive and received unknown injuries as a result of the crash. There is no information on details surrounding the accident and it is not known if the driver remained at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing at this time and no further details have been released.
