Lumberton, NC – Lummie Jacobs Hurt in Fatal Car Accident on 7th Street Road

Lumberton, NC (June 20, 2020) – One person is dead and one injured following a car accident in Lumberton. The crash happened on Friday, June 19th on 7th Street Road.

According to Sgt. J.A. McVicker with the State Highway Patrol, Shaun Alexander Lewis crossed the center line on 7th Street Road and collided with a van driven by Lummie Hunt Jacobs. Lewis died at the crash scene. Jacobs was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries. The cause of the crash has not been determined at this time. There were no other injuries reported.
