Winston-Salem, NC (May 17, 2022) – The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the scene of a collision involving a student on Tuesday, May 17th. The crash took place outside of Simon G. Adkins High School.

When police arrived at the scene, they found at least one person suffering from injuries as a result of the accident. The victim was a student at the high school. The student was transported from the scene and received treatment for minor injuries. Officials believe that the incident was a hit-and-run as the driver was not in the area when they arrived. There is no available description of the suspect or the vehicle at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
