Wilmington, NC (February 4, 2021) – A pedestrian in Wilmington was taken to the hospital following an incident that took place on Wednesday, February 3rd. The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. in the 2700 block of Market Street.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, a male pedestrian tried to cross the road when he was hit by a vehicle. The man, who has not been identified, suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital. At this time, he is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries to his legs. The driver remained at the scene of the crash. There were no additional injuries reported in connection with the accident. Motorists were advised to use caution near the crash scene and to avoid the area if possible.
Police are still investigating the collision at this time and no additional information is available.
