Sanford, NC (February 3, 2021) – One person was taken to a hospital following a crash in Sanford on Tuesday, February 3rd. The crash took place on North Carolina Highway 87 near Pickett Road.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene. According to a report from troopers, two people were in a vehicle that was traveling on N.C. 87. For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the car and it crashed before rolling over and coming to rest. One person was seriously hurt was airlifted to a nearby hospital. A second person was also hurt but suffered only minor injuries. The identities of those involved in the crash have not been released.
There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed. No further information regarding the accident is available at this time.
