Wilmington, NC (May 2, 2021) – A 12-year-old girl suffered injuries after a car accident last week in Winston-Salem. The accident took place on Wednesday, April 28th at approximately 7:48 a.m.
The Wilmington Police Department responded to the intersection of Market Street and N. 19th Street in response to a report of the crash. According to officers, Christal Sherica Dunn, of Wilmington, was traveling eastbound on Market Street when she attempted to make a left turn onto North 19th Street. At that time, her car was struck by a vehicle driven by Renee Waters, of Wilmington. Dunn’s 12-year-old child was injured in the accident and was taken by EMS to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. There is no update on her condition at this time. Waters was not injured in the accident. No charges were filed immediately following the crash.
