Raleigh, NC (June 19, 2020) – A local attorney was killed in a Raleigh pedestrian crash that took place on Wednesday, June 17th. The crash happened on South Wilmington Street.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, Gary Lester Presnell was in a crosswalk on South Wilmington when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Rosa Underwood McLean. Presnell was seriously injured in the crash and was later pronounced dead.
Police investigated at the scene and later charged McLean with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failing to yield the right-of-way.
