Lincoln County, NC – Billy Lytton Killed in NC 150 Head-On Crash

Lincoln County, NC (June 29, 2020) – A retired Gaston County police chief was killed in a head-on crash that took place on Saturday in Lincoln County. The accident was reported just after 3:00 p.m. on NC 150 near Ivey Church Road.

According to authorities, Billy Lytton was traveling on NC 150 when a 2019 Chevy Silverado crossed the centerline and collided head-on with Lytton’s 2020 Honda CRV. Lytton suffered critical injuries and was later pronounced dead. Two other crash victims were taken to the hospital in unknown condition. The cause of the crash is under investigation and there is no word on the identity of the others involved.
