Greenville, NC – UPDATE: Authorities Identify Other Victims in Fatal Crash

Greenville, NC (May 22, 2020) – Police in Greenville have identified the remaining victims in a fatal crash that took place earlier this week. The collision originally occurred along Davis Street on Tuesday, May 19th.

According to reports, 30-year-old McArthur Ward of Greenville and 21-year-old Miland Lewis of Aden were killed in the collision. Authorities had previously identified 29-year-old Miranda Artis as the third person who died in the collision.

Officers say that the crash occurred just after 10:00 p.m. when a vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. In addition to three lives lost, 31-year-old Sammie Madlock of Greenville sustained serious injuries. Speed is believed to have played a role in the crash. An investigation remains ongoing.
