North Carolina Car Accidents
According to the most recent statistics, there are approximately 300,000 reported car accidents across North Carolina each year and approximately 80,000 injuries reported in these crashes. A large number of car accidents are hit-and-run collisions where a driver chooses to flee the scene before the police arrive. Although drivers are legally required to remain at the accident scene, they often choose to leave in order to avoid taking responsibility for the crash. This often occurs when a driver’s negligence has led to the collision. Once these drivers are apprehended, they will face both civil and criminal liability for their actions.
If you or a loved one have been injured in a hit-and-run or other type of North Carolina car accident, you will need to seek the representation of a skilled North Carolina car accident attorney in order to protect your legal rights. Hit-and-run accident cases can be complicated and can lead to difficult issues regarding insurance coverage. Often, hit-and-run drivers are not located or do not carry insurance coverage, making it more difficult for you to obtain compensation. A skilled attorney can locate all available insurance policies and will make sure that you receive the recovery to which you are entitled.
