Cumberland County, NC – Three-Car Crash with Injuries on I-95

Cumberland County, NC (December 25, 2020) – Authorities were at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries in Cumberland County on Christmas Eve. The crash took place around 7:00 p.m. on Interstate 95.

According to police, an SUV was driving erratically on I-95 when it collided with the back of a second vehicle. The SUV then struck a second vehicle before crashing into a guardrail and coming to rest. Paramedics responded to the accident scene and transported two people to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Those involved in the crash have not been identified at this time. There is no word on potential charges and an investigation is ongoing.

The road remained closed until approximately 8:00 p.m. Traffic was backed up for nearly six miles while authorities worked at the scene. Motorists were urged to find alternate routes for their travel and to avoid the scene if possible. No additional information is available at this time.
