Burlington, NC – Brandon Schronce Killed in U.S. 70 Crash

Burlington, NC (December 21, 2020) – A man from Whitsett was killed in a crash that took place on Sunday in Burlington. The crash was reported just before 6:00 p.m on U.S. Highway 70.

The Burlington Police Department, Burlington Fire, Department, and Alamance County EMS all responded to the crash scene. According to reports, the collision involved three vehicles. Police say that 23-year-old Brandon Jeffrey Schronce was killed when his 1996 Honda Civic struck a delivery van. At this time, officials believe that Schronce’s car was struck by a third vehicle which caused him to lose control of his vehicle and crash into the delivery van.

The driver of the third car and the delivery truck have not been identified at this time. There is no word on whether any other injuries were sustained in the crash. The road remained closed for approximately five hours as investigators worked at the scene. No additional details are available.
