Winston-Salem, NC – Eric Thomas Hurt in Car Accident on Reynolda Road

Winston-Salem, NC (May 27, 2021) – A Winston-Salem man was injured in a two-vehicle crash that took place on Tuesday, May 25th. The accident took place at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Reynolda Road near the intersection with Northwest Boulevard.

Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the crash scene. According to a report from the scene, William Wesley Budd, of Winston-Salem was driving a 2016 Porsche northbound on Reynolda when he came to a stop at a red light in a travel lane. As he was stationary at the light, Budd observed a light in the turn lane change to green. He told officers that he believed the light in his lane had turned green and began to move forward. His car collided with a vehicle directly in front of him. The driver of the second vehicle was identified as Eric Thomas.

Thomas suffered undisclosed injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Baptist Hospital for treatment. Budd was not injured. There is no further information available. An investigation into the accident is underway.
