Winston-Salem, NC – Catina Simmons Hurt in Peters Creek Pkwy. Crash

Winston-Salem, NC (May 11, 2021) – A woman from Winston-Salem was hurt in a two-car crash that took place on Sunday, May 9th. The collision happened around 9:00 p.m. on Peters Creek Parkway near Silas Creek Parkway and Interstate 40.

Officer A. Doganis of the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the crash scene. According to a report, Zackerie Dawson, of Winston-Salem, was driving a 2021 Chevy when he came to the intersection. Dawson had a red light in his direction of travel. He failed to stop at the red light and entered the intersection where he collided with a car driven by Catina Monique Simmons.

Simmons was hurt in the accident and was transported by EMS to Baptist Hospital. There is no word on her condition at this time. Dawson was not injured. There were no other vehicles involved. There is no word on potential charges at this time. No further information is available.
