Thomasville, NC – Three Killed in Crash on Liberty Drive

Thomasville, NC (October 5, 2020) – The Thomasville Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Liberty Drive early Sunday morning. The crash occurred around 3:15 a.m. near the intersection with Cloninger Drive.

According to reports from police, Cesar Jaimes was operating a vehicle on Liberty Street when he lost control of the car. The vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed head-on into a tree. When officers arrived, they located Jaimes, Karam Khan, and Isaac Jaimes inside the vehicle. All three were pronounced dead at the scene. The ages of the victims have not been released at this time. There were no other cars involved in the accident.

Following an investigation, officers determined that the crash was caused by speeding. One of the passengers in the vehicle was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. The investigation remains ongoing at this time and there is no additional information available.
