Stokesdale, NC – UPDATE: Victims in US 220 Car Accident Identified

Stokesdale, NC (June 13, 2020) – The State Highway Patrol has identified the victims of a deadly car accident that took place on Friday, June 13th on US 220.

According to authorities, 43-year-old Matthew Scott Fralin, of Madison, and 52-year-old Kimberly Ann Maliadis, of Stokesdale, were killed in the crash.

Police say that Fralin was traveling southbound in a 2011 Honda when he left his lane of travel after hitting a concrete divider. His car veered across the median and into the northbound lanes where he collided with a vehicle driven by Maliadis. Fralin’s vehicle continued on and struck a 2016 Honda SUV driven by 25-year-old Alec Zotov. Zotov suffered serious injuries and was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

The crash is still under investigation at this time.
