Statesville, NC (December 23, 2020) – Police and rescue workers responded to the scene of a serious crash in Statesville on Tuesday, December 22nd. The accident took place on Interstate 40 near Sharon School Road at mile marker 142.

According to officials, the crash resulted in one person being trapped inside their vehicle. A helicopter was dispatched to the scene to airlift the injured victim to a nearby hospital.
