Raleigh, NC – Three Hurt in Car Accident Involving Wake Co. Sheriff’s Deputy

Raleigh, NC (July 10, 2020) – Three people were taken to the hospital following a car accident in Raleigh on Friday, July 10th. The crash took place on South Saunders Street.

According to reports, a deputy was responding to assist another deputy at a traffic stop. As the deputy crossed over South Saunders, his vehicle was hit by a white Kia. Following the initial impact, both the police vehicle and the Kia collided with a gold car that was stopped at a stop sign.

The deputy along with the Kia driver and a child were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing. There is no word on whether charges are expected.
