Motorcycle Accidents in North Carolina
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, there were 168 fatalities in North Carolina motorcycle accidents in the year 2018. This number was an increase from the year prior, where 139 motorcyclists lost their lives in crashes that took place in our state. A North Carolina motorcycle accident is a serious and often tragic event. Motorcycles offer very little protection from the risk of death or severe injury. Often, motorcyclists must deal with the initial crash as well as the risk that they will be thrown from the motorcycle after the accident. In many cases, it is this secondary impact that does the most damage.
