Raleigh, NC – Construction Worker Hospitalized in Friday Hit-and-Run Crash

Raleigh, NC (June 12, 2020) – A construction worker was injured in a hit-and-run crash that took place in Raleigh on Friday. The collision happened on Rock Quarry Road near I-40.

Police say that 32-year-old Amber Stovall was driving a white van and collided with a worker. Stovall attempted to flee the scene following the crash before she was stopped by other construction workers. The workers detained her until police arrived.

Stovall was investigated and later charged with felony hit-and-run. Officers believe that she was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

The construction worker was transported to WakeMed for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
