Perquimans County, NC – One Killed, Four Hurt in Crash on Ocean Highway N.

Perquimans County, NC (February 8, 2021) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating following a crash in Perquimans on Sunday afternoon. The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Ocean Highway North.

According to a report, an SUV with seven occupants left the roadway and traveled into a ditch. Both police and rescue workers arrived at the scene. When crews arrived, they transported a total of five people to Sentara Albemarle Hospital. One of the victims was later pronounced dead as a result of injuries suffered in the accident. There is no word on the condition of the other four individuals involved and no one involved in the crash has been identified at this time.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing. There is no additional information available.
