Greenville, NC (February 8, 2021) – The Greenville Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal car accident in the city on Saturday. The crash happened around 3:00 p.m. on East 10th Street near the Shops at Hardee Village.
According to Lt. Scott Stanton of the GPD, there were two vehicles involved in the crash. The car collided with one another head-on and one of the cars burst into flames following the impact. All of the occupants in both vehicles were taken to a local hospital. One of the victims involved was a child. Although there were no deaths reported, there were results of serious injuries. There is no further update on the conditions of the injured victims and no word on the cause of the accident.
The road remained closed until approximately 4:30 p.m. as investigators worked at the scene. No one involved has been identified and an investigation remains ongoing.
