Laurinburg, NC – Two Teens Killed in Crash on N.C. 501

Laurinburg, NC (February 14, 2021) – Two 18-year-olds were killed in a car accident that took place in Laurinburg on Saturday, February 13th. The crash happened on North Carolina Highway 501 near Johns Road.

According to Master Trooper J. Edwards, 18-year-old Serena Locklear was driving a vehicle that collided with another car on N.C. 501. Both Locklear and her passenger, 18-year-old Isaiah Hardin, were killed in the accident. The driver of the other vehicle and three small children were not seriously injured. There is no word on the cause of the collision at this time and the individuals in the second vehicle have not been identified. Motorists in the area were advised to use caution when traveling near the accident scene.

Troopers continue to investigate the crash and it is not clear whether any charges are expected to be filed. There is no further information available.
