Greenville, NC – Three Killed in Crash on Davis Street

Greenville, NC (May 20, 2020) – The Greenville Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal crash on Tuesday. The crash took place just after 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of Davis Street and W. 6th Street.

According to officers, a car was traveling at a high rate of speed on Davis Street when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car left the roadway, traveled over a grassy patch, and struck a tree. One person was ejected from the vehicle and two others were trapped inside. The car caught fire after impact.

Rescue workers arrived on the scene but were unable to save three of the four occupants. Miranda Artis 29, was identified as one of the victims. The other two deceased individuals were not immediately identified. 31-year-old Sammie Madlock survived the crash but sustained serious injuries.

Police are still investigating at this time and no further information is available.
