Greensboro, NC – Tanker Truck Involved in Injury Crash on I-85

Greensboro, NC (December 29, 2020) – Police and rescue workers responded to the scene of an injury accident that took place on Interstate 85 on Tuesday morning. The crash was reported around 6:50 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near Exit 135 and Rock Creek Dairy Road.

According to a preliminary report from the North Carolina Department of Transportation and Guilford Metro 911, a tanker truck was involved in the crash. The accident caused two of four lanes on I-85 to be shut down while crews worked at the scene to clear debris from the crash. Injuries were reported in the accident although there is no word on their severity at this time.
