Greensboro, NC – Steve Cooper Coble Hurt in Truck Accident on Alcott Rd.

Greensboro, NC (August 11, 2020) – A 72-year-old man from Greensboro was hurt after his car was hit by a tractor-trailer on Sunday, August 9th. The crash happened around 8:50 a.m. on Alcott Road near the intersection with Wolfe Road.

According to the Greensboro Police Department, Steve Cooper Coble was driving a 2011 Hyundai Azera when he came to the intersection with Wolfe and Alcott. At the same time, a 2015 International tractor-trailer entered the road in front of Coble at the intersection. Coble’s car collided with the front left corner of the truck. Rescue crews rushed to the scene and transported Coble to Moses Cone Hospital where he was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The truck driver, 67-year-old Pink Moore of Greensboro, was not hurt in the crash. Police charged more with unsafe movement. An investigation has ruled out alcohol as a factor in the case.
