Greensboro, NC – Ronnie James Killed in Car Accident on I-85

Greensboro, NC (November 1, 2020) – A 40-year-old man from High Point was killed in a two-vehicle crash that left one other person hurt in Greensboro on Saturday. The accident occurred around 4:35 a.m. on Interstate 85 near South Elm-Eugene Street and US 421.

According to a report, Ronnie James was driving a 2001 Toyota Camry northbound on I-85 when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle veered into the southbound lanes of the highway. While in the southbound lanes, the car collided head-on with a second vehicle. James suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The driver of the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated by medical personnel. The Guilford County EMS along with the Greensboro Police Department responded to the accident scene.

Officers are investigating the crash at this time. There is no further information available.
