Greensboro, NC (February 15, 2021) – The Greensboro Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that took place over the weekend. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on Brightwood School Road.
According to officers, a pedestrian was walking near the roadway when they were struck by a dark-colored Dodge Challenger. The Challenger also struck debris from a tree that was in the roadway before fleeing the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival. The pedestrian suffered injuries as a result of the accident, however, the nature and extent of the injuries suffered remain unclear at this time.
Officials are searching for the suspect. The car is believed to have front-end damage as well as damage underneath the car. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (336) 373-1000. There is no additional information available at this time.
