Greensboro, NC – Bicyclist Hurt in Hit-and-Run on I-85

Greensboro, NC (June 30, 2020) – A man from Greensboro was hurt in a hit-and-run crash on I-85. The crash happened on Monday, June 29th in the northbound lanes of the highway near the exit for Mount Hope Church Road.

The Greensboro Police Department reports that the victim was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was later identified as 46-year-old Steven Nazal. The bicyclist, a 36-year-old man from Greensboro, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the collision.  Nazal fled the scene after the crash but was later arrested and has been charged with felony hit-and-run, driving while license revoked and failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision.
