Graham, NC – Lilian Arnold Injured in Two-Car Crash on I-40

Graham, NC (January 16, 2021) – A woman from Graham sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on I-40. The crash happened on Thursday, January 14th at approximately 11:40 a.m.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was called to the scene shortly after the accident occurred. According to troopers, Samuel Warren Stallings, of Burlington, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet westbound on I-40. At the same time, Madalynn Paulette Arnold, of Graham was driving a 2005 Toyota in the same direction. Arnold stopped her vehicle for traffic in front of her. Stalling failed to slow down and collided with the rear of Arnold’s car and propelling both cars forward before they came to rest. A passenger in Arnold’s vehicle, Lilian Abigail Arnold, was taken to Alamance Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries. No additional injuries were reported in the accident.

There is no word on potential charges at this time and no additional information is available. An investigation is ongoing.
