Forsyth County, NC – One Dead, Multiple Hurt in Crash on N.C. 65

Forsyth County, NC (October 16, 2020) – A head-on crash in Forsyth County claimed the life of one person and left several others injured on Friday afternoon. The accident took place around 3:30 p.m. on North Carolina Highway 65.

According to a report from officials, a passenger vehicle was traveling northbound on N.C. 65 when, for unknown reasons, the car veered off the side of the roadway before re-entering. Upon re-entering the roadway, the driver overcorrected the vehicle, causing it to travel left of center. While in the opposite lanes, the car struck a van head-on. The driver of the vehicle was killed in the accident. Six people inside the van were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the deceased victim is not available at this time. Officers have not provided any information on the cause of the crash.

An investigation is underway.
