Fayetteville, NC (June 22, 2022) – Troopers with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol are investigating a deadly crash in Fayetteville on Wednesday, June 22nd. The crash happened just after 1:00 p.m. on North Carolina Highway 210.

According to a report from troopers, an SUV was traveling on NC 210 when the driver of the vehicle crossed the center line. When the SUV entered the other lane, it collided head-on with a flatbed truck. A passenger in the SUV suffered critical injuries and died at the accident scene. The victim was not immediately identified. Troopers have not said whether anyone else was hurt in the collision. It is not clear what caused the SUV to cross into the other lane. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
