Durham County, NC – Two Hospitalized Following Crash near Boyce Mill Rd.

Durham County, NC (September 2, 2020) – Two people were taken to the hospital following a head-on crash in Durham County on Monday, August 31st. The crash was reported around 5:00 a.m. along Wake Forest Highway near Boyce Mill Road.

Police were called to the scene shortly after the crash took place. According to reports from the scene, a car and an SUV collided along Wake Forest Highway. A third vehicle approaching the crash scene swerved to avoid a collision and ran off the side of the road and crashed into the trees. Rescue workers were dispatched to provide assistance to the injured victims following the accident. Two people were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The victims have not been identified at this time and there is no further update on their conditions.

The crash caused Highway98 to be closed in both directions. The road was later reopened around 7:00 a.m. following the police investigation and after the scene was cleared.
