North Carolina Motorcycle Accidents
Motorcycle riders are a common sight across North Carolina. Many people in our state enjoy riding motorcycles for fun and also as a means of transportation. A motorcycle ride can be a fun way to get fresh air and enjoy the weather and the scenery. However, riding a motorcycle comes with significant risks. Each year in our state, there are more than 3,500 motorcycle accidents. From these crashes, nearly 200 people lose their lives annually.
A North Carolina motorcycle accident can lead to devastating injuries as well as death in the worst-case scenario. Unfortunately, many crashes occur due to the fault of other motorists and are not caused by the motorcycle rider. Drivers in larger vehicles, including cars and trucks, often fail to share the road with motorcycles. These drivers may fail to yield the right of way or may not see the motorcycle until it is too late to avoid a devastating collision. The results are catastrophic and can leave family members and loved ones having to deal with the effects of a serious tragedy.
