Charlotte, NC – Truck Accident Causes Injuries on I-85 at Statesville Ave

Charlotte, NC (March 11, 2021) – Police and rescue workers responded to the scene of an injury accident that took place on Interstate 85 on Monday morning.

Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reported the wreck around 8:00 a.m. and say that it occurred in the southbound lanes of the highway near Statesville Avenue. The multi-vehicle crash shut down all lanes of traffic in the area for several hours.

According to traffic cameras, the wreck involved at least one tractor-trailer and several other vehicles. Medics dispatched to the scene reported that two people were treated for minor injuries and transported to Atrium University Medical Center via ambulance in stable condition.
