Winston-Salem, NC (May 20, 2021) – A Winston-Salem man has passed away this week from injuries sustained in a crash on April 28th. The incident took place in the 5300 block of Reynolda Road.
According to a report from the Winston-Salem Police Department, Jimmie Warren Poindexter was walking on Reynolda Road when he was hit struck by a 2004 BMW driven by Justin Leonard Fulton. Fulton was traveling northwest on Reynolda when the crash happened. Poindexter was taken by Forsyth County EMS to a local hospital where he remained until he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, police have not said whether any charges are expected to be filed. There were no other injuries reported as a result of the crash and no further details have been released at this time.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Winston-Salem Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
