Winston-Salem, NC (April 7, 2021) – A young child has died from injuries sustained in a crash that took place in Winston-Salem late last month. The incident happened around 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30th.
Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department report that three cars were traveling eastbound on Bethabara Park Boulevard when a 2013 Dodge failed to slow down. The Dodge collided into the back of 2014 Chevrolet. The Chevrolet was then pushed forward, striking a 2017 Nissan.
A 6-year-old occupant of the Chevrolet was unrestrained in the back seat. The child suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where they later died. All three drivers suffered minor injuries. No one involved in the incident has been identified at this time.
Police continue to investigate the accident. There is no additional information available.
