North Carolina Injury Accidents  Winston-Salem, NC - Serious Crash Involving Moped on University Pkwy.

The roadways in our state can be a very dangerous and risky place for motorists. Each year, thousands of crashes occur throughout North Carolina. These accidents sometimes result in serious injuries for the victims. Many accidents occur in cars or other passenger vehicles. Mopeds and motorcycles, however, bring additional dangers when riders are involved in a crash. These vehicles provide almost no protection from the force of the accident, leaving riders very vulnerable to a crash from a larger vehicle.

Following an accident, police must conduct a careful investigation in order to determine how the collision occurred. The result of the investigation can help determine whether there will be any charges filed and which driver should be held responsible. In cases involving injuries, this investigation is important in order to help establish whether someone was negligent in causing the crash.

Following an injury accident in North Carolina, it is important to know your legal rights. Our state is a contributory negligence state, which means that injured victims must be free from fault in order to recover compensation. This issue is very important when dealing with insurance adjusters and it is vital to have a skilled attorney who can present your case effectively to the insurance company. Your recovery could depend on whether you are able to prove that the other driver is at fault for the collision.
