Wilmington, NC (May 14, 2021) – A woman from Wilmington was injured in a car accident that happened earlier this week. The crash occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12th.
The Wilmington Police Department responded to the scene along Medical Center Drive near the intersection with Wisteria Drive. According to reports, Alison Strickland was traveling on Wisteria when she attempted to make a left turn onto Medical Center. Strickland’s car collided with an oncoming car. Strickland told police that the oncoming vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Emergency rescue crews arrived at the scene and transported Strickland to New Hanover Regional Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. No other injuries were reported as a result of the accident. There have been no charges filed at this time.
