Wilkes County, NC (October 10, 2020) – Police responded to the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian in Wilkes County on Saturday, October 10th. The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of U.S. 431 near North Carolina Highway 16.
According to police, a pedestrian was walking in or near the northbound lanes of U.S. 421 when they were struck by a car that was traveling on the highway. The pedestrian suffered injuries in the crash. An ambulance arrived at the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to a local hospital. The pedestrian’s condition was not disclosed following the accident. There were no other injuries reported and no details on the events leading up to the collision.
