Waynesville, NC (October 11, 2020) – Officials with the Waynesville Police Department responded to the scene of a deadly accident in the city on Saturday, October 10th. According to a report, the crash took place on Highway 23 near Tarheel Drive.
Investigators say that the crash occurred when a car crashed through a guardrail on Highway 23. The car then rolled and landed on its side on Tarheel Drive. There was a total of at least four people in the vehicle at the time of the crash. One man was killed in the accident. Three other occupants, including two children, were taken to a local hospital via ambulance. There is no word on their conditions at this time. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Police have not released the identity of those involved in the crash. No further details are available at this time.
