Thomasville, NC – Teenager Hurt in Hit-and-Run on Fuller Mill Rd.

Thomasville, NC (March 7, 2021) – Police in Thomasville are investigating following a hit-and-run crash that took place on Thursday night. The collision happened around 8:00 p.m. on Fuller Mill Road near the intersection with Reddy Foxx Lane.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Javier Alexander Estrada-Ochoa was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a pickup truck. The truck immediately fled the scene following the accident. Rescue crews arrived and transported Estrada-Ochoa to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He is currently listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Troopers are still searching for the suspect. The truck has been described as a grey or silver 2007-2008 Dodge pickup. The truck is believed to have damage to its front right area with a missing right headlight. Anyone with any information regarding the incident should contact the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
