North Carolina Car Accidents

Sadly, there are more than 1,400 people killed in North Carolina traffic accidents each year. Many of these victims will lose their lives in crashes that are not their fault and that are actually caused by the negligent behavior of other motorists. A North Carolina car accident must be carefully investigated by authorities in order to determine the cause and which driver should be held responsible. In some cases, it may be necessary to hire an expert crash reconstructionist to piece together the events that led up to the collision.

Under North Carolina law, family members could have legal rights when their loved one is killed by a motorist on our roadways. A North Carolina wrongful death claim can often be filed against a person whose negligence led directly to the death of another. Wrongful death claims in our state must be filed within two years of the date of death and should only be handled by an experienced attorney. While no amount of money can replace the loss of a beloved family member, the compensation that you do receive can help you handle unexpected financial expenses, including funeral and medical bills.

At Burton Law Firm, North Carolina wrongful death lawyer Jason M. Burton is familiar with the legal requirements of wrongful death lawsuits. These cases can be complicated and they require the skill and knowledge of a trusted lawyer in order to help recover the compensation that you need and deserve. While we understand that no amount of money can ever bring your loved one back, a wrongful death case can help you receive money to pay unexpected expenses and to move forward following a sudden tragedy.
