Reidsville, NC – Mary Richardson & Damian Cooper Die in Thursday Crash on Highway 29

Reidsville, NC (November 13, 2020) – Two people are dead after a crash in Reidsville on Thursday, November 12th. The crash took place around 7:30 a.m. on US Highway 29 near the intersection with Flat Rock Road.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the scene following reports of the accident. According to troopers, 80-year-old Mary Richardson of Browns Summit was traveling eastbound on Flat Rock Road. Barnhart came to a stop sign and failed to stop. Her vehicle proceeded into the intersection and collided with a car driven by 29-year-old Damian Cooper of Reidsville. Both Richardson and Cooper were transported to area hospitals where they succumbed to their injuries.

Troopers are still investigating the accident at this time. No further information is available.
