Randolph County, NC – One Hurt in Crash on Covered Bridge Road

Randolph County, NC (June 30, 2021) – One person sustained injuries in a crash that took place on Tuesday evening in Randolph County. The accident was reported at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Covered Bridge Road near the intersection with Stanton Road.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident scene. According to deputies, the victim was airlifted from the accident to a nearby hospital. There is no word on their condition at this time. Police have not said what caused the accident to occur and the victim’s identity has not been released. Traffic was backed up near the crash scene as motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel if possible.
