Raleigh, NC – Leo Odouk Hurt in Two-Car Accident on I-540

Raleigh, NC (January 20, 2021) – A man from Knightdale suffered injuries in a two-car accident that took place on Interstate 540 in Raleigh on Saturday, January 16th. The crash was reported around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection with Triangle Town Boulevard.

According to a report from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Chandler Gray Stroud was driving a 2021 Honda eastbound on I-540. At the same time, Leo Odouk, of Knightdale, was driving a 2017 Toyota. Odouk slowed for traffic in front of him but Stroud failed to reduce his speed, causing his vehicle to crash into the of Odouk’s. Odouk was injured as a result of the crash. The Wake County EMS responded and transported him to Wake Med for treatment of unspecified injuries. Stroud was also injured but there is no word on his condition at this time.

After an investigation, troopers charged Gray with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. No further details are available at this time.
