Perquimans County, NC – One Killed, Two Hurt in Crash on Ocean Hwy.

Perquimans County, NC (April 12, 2021) – One person was killed and two others were hurt after a crash that took place in Perquimans County on Sunday, April 11th. The incident was reported around 7:35 p.m. along Ocean Highway near the intersection with Hopewell Road.

The Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident scene. According to deputies, two of the victims were transported by EMS to Vidant Chowan Hospital. A third victim was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center. One of the victims died at the hospital. The condition of the other two individuals is not known at this time. Police have not provided any details on the events leading up to the accident.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the collision at this time. There is no word on potential charges.
