Greensboro, NC (August 3, 2020) – A 53-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash that took place in Greensboro on Sunday, August 2nd. The crash happened on West Gate City Boulevard near the intersection with West Meadowview Road.
The Greensboro Police Department was called to the scene of the crash shortly after it took place. According to reports, David Robinson was crossing the road when he was hit by a white work van. After striking Robinson, the driver of the work van fled the scene before police could arrive. Robinson was found lying in the roadway and was pronounced dead by medical workers at the crash scene.
Police have not released any further details on the driver involved in the crash. There were no other injuries reported and the Greensboro Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating at this time. No additional details are available.
